Kreig Marks is a father to 4 incredible kids, husband to a loving wife, and owner/founder of Tru-Fit of South Asheville. You may have heard of him or even seen him on National TV being interviewed about Parkinson's Disease, something he is very passionate about ever since his late father was diagnosed in 1994.
Kreig's life has always been a fitness-oriented lifestyle. Many of his clients are not aware that in his younger days, he was a nationally ranked collegiate wrestler with Olympic aspirations. Unfortunately, a serious neck injury kept him from pursuing his Olympic goal. However, after recovering from his injury, he established a physical therapy center in South Florida and then became a specialized fitness trainer. These past experiences in strength training, agility training and conditioning helped him to create interesting fitness challenges…and it became his life-long passion.
After graduating college, Kreig began a successful fitness training and physical therapy practice as a cardiovascular, shoulder, back and knee strengthening specialist. In 1994, his father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and wanting to help him, Kreig developed a specialized training program for people living with Parkinson’s or Multiple Sclerosis: the Kinesio-Arts Training Program. This program, the first of it's kind to include non-contact boxing, has had much media attention and is internationally recognized for its results and copyrighted.
Kreig has been a personal trainer to collegiate and professional athletes, Olympians, celebrities, fitness models and corporate executives. However, a majority of his clients are hard working, everyday people who are just as busy and want fast, permanent results just like everyone else. Kreig is here to make sure you put in the effort to get those results.
For over 23 years, Kreig has been training clients and actively researching fitness and different methods to help his clients achieve their goals. There's no magic pill or potion. If you put in the effort with Kreig and incorporate a healthy lifestyle, you will achieve the results you crave.
Kreig is fortunate to have a career that he loves. What he enjoys most each day is seeing his clients achieve their health and fitness goals. Getting in shape is not meant to be a torturous endeavor. There may be a sore muscle or two along the way, but achieving your fitness goals should be enjoyed, not dreaded.
